Emergency response following cyclone GEZANI: more than 30,000 solar kits distributed to households in Toamasina II
Following cyclone GEZANI in February 2026, the DECIM Fund, with financial support from the World Bank Group, launched an emergency response to support the Malagasy government’s efforts to assist the hardest-hit populations in the areas without electricity in the Toamasina II district, with the aim of distributing 30,000 solar kits free of charge to the most vulnerable populations.
