[SHS] Catalytic Grant

About this call

Unlike the FBR subsidy, the catalytic grant is not directly linked to the distribution of an off-grid solar (SHR) product. Disbursed on the basis of specific activities defined by the company and validated by the Fund Manager, it contributes to achieving the objectives of the DECIM Fund. The catalytic grant aims to support institutional capacity-building and market development activities for companies operating in the off-grid solar (SHR) sector. It seeks to strengthen companies’ operational capacity, support market development in areas where access is currently limited or non-existent, and thereby contribute to the SHR vertical’s objective of delivering 417 000 connections to households and businesses through off-grid solar solutions.

Eligibility criteria

Eligible companies include those already participating in the DECIM Fund’s FBR–SHR program—having been selected to benefit from the FBR subsidy under Window 1 of the FBR–SHR Facility—as well as companies intending to apply to this program following support provided through the catalytic grant.
