[MINI-GRIDS] Catalytic Grant – “Capacity building and market development for small-scale mini-grid developers”.

About this call

The main aim of the Catalytic Grant for the Mini-grids sector is to support institutional capacity-building and market development activities for Mini-grids developer companies. It also aims to strengthen companies' operational capacities, support market development, and enable operators to structure themselves to participate in RBF financing launched as part of the DECIM Fund.

Eligibility criteria

The private sector, registered companies, associations and cooperatives complying with Law n°2017-020 on the Electricity Code in Madagascar are eligible.
Companies that are domiciled in Madagascar and hold all the authorizations required for the execution of projects financed by DECIM.

Companies that, at the time of submission, have been managing at least one mini-grid with a minimum output of 10kW for at least one year.
Companies with sales of less than USD 500,000 (Year 2024).
